Who operates Owldeck

Owldeck is operated by Zektek LLC (“Zektek,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Owldeck has no user accounts — adding and watching channels happens entirely in your browser. A small server-side component exists only to power channel search (see below).

Information stored in your browser

Owldeck saves the following only on the device you’re using, via your browser’s local storage. None of it is sent to Zektek or anyone else:

• the Twitch and Kick channels you’ve added and their layout order;
• your recently watched channel history, shown in the “Recently watched” panel;
• any per-channel auto-refresh intervals you’ve set; and
• whether you’ve dismissed the off-domain notice, if you’re viewing Owldeck somewhere other than owldeck.zektek.com.

You can clear any of this at any time by removing channels or history entries in the app, or by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

Channel search

When you search for a channel to add, your search text is sent to Owldeck’s server, which looks it up against Twitch’s and Kick’s own APIs using Owldeck’s own credentials (not yours) and returns the matches. Search results are cached briefly in server memory to avoid repeat lookups, and requests are rate-limited per visitor — neither is written to a database or kept once the server process restarts.

Twitch and Kick embeds

Owldeck displays live streams and chat using each platform’s own official embed player, loaded directly from Twitch or Kick. When you load a stream, your browser communicates directly with that platform to display it. Their handling of that connection, including any cookies or data collected, is governed by Twitch’s and Kick’s own privacy policies, not this one.

Analytics

Owldeck uses Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how the site is used (such as page views and general usage patterns). This is standard, aggregate usage analytics; it is not linked to the channels you watch or anything stored in your browser’s local storage.

Security and children

We use reasonable technical measures to protect the limited information Owldeck processes. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Owldeck is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Owldeck changes. We’ll post the revised policy here and update the effective date above.
